Today our community broke ground for a new Aquatic Center on our Dunedin campus. The new outdoor Aquatic Center will include a resort style pool featuring a shallow water sun shelf for in water seating, a gradual step entry, a swimming area with depths from 3’ 6” to 5’ and a lap swimming lane. The pool deck will feature heat and slip resistant pavers, six cabanas and over two dozen chase lounge chairs. The 59,450 gallon swimming pool measures 2,342 square feet. Generous landscaping will surround the new Aquatic Center.
The Aquatic Center should be completed by the end of this year. Mease Life plans to enhance the Aquatic Center with a Phase II project that will include an aerobics pool and spa.
“Three years of Master Planning has brought us to this point,” shares Bruce Livingston, Board of Trustees Chair. “We are close to unveiling our plans, in the coming months, for campus renewal and expansion of a new independent living product. We are excited!”
